Additional Information

The Elks support our nations’ veterans annually with a deer hide collection program. These hides are cured and delivered to a tannery. Once tanned, the hides are then turned into leather gloves made by veterans of the United States Armed Services. Once produced, the Elks sell these gloves and donate the proceeds to various charitable veterans’ programs throughout the United States. The state of Missouri has now been #1 in the nation for the past two years beating out Iowa for the most hides collected toward this fine program. Please help us continue to support our nations’ veterans by contributing your hides to us. The hides simply need to be skinned from the deer, have the neck and legs cut off, and contact an ELK VETERANS SERVICES committee member immediately before they start to spoil. The committee members will collect them, salt cure them, and store them until the end of all deer hunting seasons.
