The Foster Grandparent Program in Sedalia and Pettis County is seeking responsible, compassionate senior adult volunteers to who will serve children with special or exceptional needs.
Volunteers are needed for children in Head Start Centers, schools, and non-profit child care facilities.
Interested individuals need to be 55 or older, be in relatively good health, enjoy working with children, and want to make a difference in the community.
Qualified applicants may receive a modest stipend for volunteering, and assistance with transportation costs.
The orientation will take place July 31 - August 2, at the Foster Grandparent Program in Higginsville, MO.
