Concertgebouw Royal Orchestra in Amsterdam, the BBC Scottish Orchestra, and
the Santiago Orchestra in Chile. Her recordings can be found on the Warner
Classics International label.
Halen, a Warrensburg native, serves as concertmaster of the St. Louis
Symphony Orchestra and, as of fall 2012, as a member of the faculty at the
University of Michigan School of Music. During the summer season he serves

distinguished visiting professor at Yale University, as well as the Robert
McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University.
In Missouri, Halen serves as the artistic director of the Innsbrook

his brother Eric, who is the associate concertmaster of the Houston
Symphony, studied with their father, the late Walter Halen, UCM professor
emeritus of music.
The Igoshina/Halen recital is made possible by the Warrensburg Friends of
Music, the Missouri Arts Council, the UCM Department of Music, the Glore
