Additional Information

The Pettis County Health Center will have free TDAP vaccine available to the public. The schedule for the availability is  September 9. They'll be working on vaccinations from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. On September 17 the shots are available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on a walk in basis.  Even though adults get a tetanus booster every 10 years, current recommendations state one TDAP after the age of 11 years of age is needed to boost protection against whooping cough.  This is especially important for adults that spend any time with young children.  They'll have the vaccine for adults and children, age 11 and over, at the Pettis County Health Center.  The vaccine is available regardless of insurance status. For more information, call 660-827-1130 or visit the PCHC at 911 East 16th street.
