State Fair Community College will offer a free, one evening “retirementology seminar” Oct. 18 to help people understand key retirement issues and receive practical instruction on finances to prepare for the future.

“Planning for a Comfortable Retirement” will meet from 6-9 p.m. in Yeater Learning Center Room 147.

Participants will learn to estimate the cost of retirement, set sound retirement goals, identify sources of retirement income, understand retirement distribution strategies, plan using tax advantage investments, and protect their estates and heirs through trust planning.

Presenter will be Pete Martinez, owner and president of Insight Financial Services, LLC, Overland Park, Kan., an independent investment advisory firm created for clients to receive personalized planning and investment strategies.
