The 12th annual Smith-Cotton JROTC Drill Meet will take place Saturday, Feb. 18 on the S-C campus. 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Schools coming from Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas will be competing. Events include Unarmed Regulation and Exhibition, Armed Regulation and Exhibition, Color Guard and Individual Drill Down. Unarmed Regulation consists of a Platoon Marching without Rifles. Armed Regulation consists of a Platoon Marching with Rifles.

Exhibition consists of a Platoon marching with or without Rifles trying to impress the Judge by using movements not typical to a normal drill routine. Color Guard consists of a team presenting the National and State Colors.

Other highlights of the Smith-Cotton JROTC Drill Meet include a silent auction and the selling of 50/50 raffle tickets.

The silent auction will include valuable items from local businesses and many restaurants in Sedalia.

All proceeds will benefit the Smith-Cotton High School JROTC program. Please come out and support your local JROTC Tiger Battalion……..HOOAH!!
