Lees Summit woman suffers fatal injuries in a Johnson County accident Tuesday

At 7:45 am Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident on US-50 Highway two-tenths of a mile from Sam Moore Road in Johnson County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2015 Kenworth Tractor driven by 40-year-old Isabel Aldrette of El Paso Texas crossed Highway 50, and was struck in the towed unit by a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 25-year-old Victoria R. Moore of Lees Summit.  Moore was pronounced deceased by the Johnson County Cornor, and was taken to Sweeney Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Holden.

20-year-old Lawson man seriously injured in a Johnson County accident Monday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Eastbound US-50 Highway at Missouri 131 Highway in Johnson County around 2:40 Monday afternoon. The accident happened according to the report as the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan driven by Brock D. Quick of Lawson, failed to yield to the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 20-year-old Abigail M. Doane of Lees Summit causing the Doane vehicle to strike the motorcycle. Quick was ejected from the Suzuki and received serious injuries. He was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.

Driver receives moderate injuries in Henry County crash after falling asleep

According to a Missouri State Highway patrol accident report just after 10pm Monday night  25-year-old Joseph P. Wilson of Olathe Kansas ran off  of Missouri Highway “7” just North of Northwest 701 Road in Henry County. The accident report states Wilson fell asleep at the wheel of his 2007 Nissan Frontier ran off  the roadway and struck a guardrail. Wilson received moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to an unknown hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
