At 3:35 Monday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident involving a pedestrian in the 4600 block of Highway “M” in Lafayette County.

According to the report the accident occurred as the pedestrian, identified as 63-year-old Glen D. Yake of Springfield, was working with a Bulldozer on private property. Yake reportedly exited the dozer leaving it in neutral. The dozer then began to roll and struck Yake. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the assisting coroner of Lafayette County at 3:53pm.

Yake was transported to the Ralph Jones Funeral Home in Odessa.

Vehicle/Cow accident reported in Pettis County Monday night

Around 9:30 Monday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle accident involving a cow on Easter Road just West of Carter Road in Pettis County. The accident report states a 2001 Ford Focus driven by 37-year-old Jeffrey T. Mullins of Windsor struck a cow that was in the roadway. The report states Mullins received minor injuries in the crash, and sought his own treatment. The vehicle was totaled and had to be towed from the scene. There was no information on the cow.
