Fatal Tractor Accident Reported in Lafayette County

Around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 1), the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office reported a fatality accident at 3548 Crabtree Lane in Odessa.

The accident reportedly occurred as the driver of an Allis Chalmers Tractor, 53-year-old Michael Ray of Odessa, Mo., attempted to traverse a pond dam embankment. The tractor overturned, ejected Ray and rolled on top of him, resulting in his death. He was taken to Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home in Odessa.
