Fight Cancer with Spaghetti and the Relay for Life
Around this time of year a lot of groups are gearing up for the big Relay for Life Fundraiser. It’s a great cause, and I’m sure all of us in some way or another have been touched by cancer.
Whether it’s you, a friend, a family member, a coworker, a neighbor, or even just someone you saw on the street, we all know how cancer is devastating people every year. So every year, people gather together and try to raise money to fight this disease. They get more and more creative with each passing year, too!
Here’s one fundraiser that I wanted to be sure you know about. If there’s one thing most people love, it’s Italian food. And just about every kid out there loves spaghetti. So why not take the family out to the First Christian Church for their Spaghetti Dinner? It’ll be held this weekend on April 7. It’ll be at the Fellowship Hall, 200 South Limit.
The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and they’ll have a live auction at 6:30 p.m. The auction will be for homemade pies and desserts. The dinner menu includes spaghetti and bread with a salad, all you can eat. Tickets are $8 for an adult, and children 12 and under are $4. All the proceeds will go to the FCC Relay for Life Team.
So join them, why don’t cha! Eat some good food for a good cause.
It’s just Bolognese,
