The Divergent Series: Insurgent (which the real, actual title of this film) has been bombarding us with trailers for so long that it feels like the movie should have come out by now. But alas, the next chapter in this young adult dystopian romantic action series is still a month away and Summit has released the final Insurgent trailer. To their credit, this is easily the most effective preview they’ve cut so far, even if it seems like it’s in an alien language to the people who skipped Divergent.

Like the past few trailers, this one is really short on actual story and really big on touching on moments that will probably make fans scream in their seats. This is the kind of movie trailer that puts as much dramatic emphasis on Shailene Woodley’s character cutting her hair as it does major action beats. And like the first film, there is an action beat involving a speeding train. And like the previous trailer, there is a great deal of Woodley jumping away from explosions and crumbling buildings in slow-motion.

But this is the best trailer so far because it’s quick, dramatic and gets out of the away before it can alienate non-fans. Plus, it actually gives some time to Miles Teller and Octavia Spencer, who look ready and willing to help add some life to the proceedings.

Here is the official synopsis for the film:

The Divergent Series: Insurgent raises the stakes for Tris as she searches for allies and answers in the ruins of a futuristic Chicago. Tris and Four are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine, the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris’s family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. Haunted by her past choices but desperate to protect the ones she loves, Tris, with Four at her side, faces one impossible challenge after another as they unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of their world.

The Divergent Series: Insurgent is set to open on March 20, 2015.
