Kansas City has awarded its first $60,000 rebate to a feature film written by an actor from nearby Overland Park, Kansas.

The film, "All Creatures Here Below" is about a couple hiding out in Kansas City, and has been awarded the first ever rebate from the Kansas City Film Development Program. The $60,000 rebate was made possible by a city ordinance passed earlier this year that allows the city to offer a local film incentive. The state of Missouri no longer offers tax credits for filmmakers.
