An 11-year-old boy was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred in Pettis County Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Alex M. Stilfield of Florence was the driver of a southbound 2007 Saturn on Route KK, south of Lutman Road at 10:45 a.m., when the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway, overcorrected, ran off the right side of the roadway, and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
A passenger in the vehicle, Logan M. Williams, 11, of Florence, suffered moderate injuries in the wreck and was transported by PCAD to University Hospital in Columbia.

Both driver and passenger were wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The Saturn had extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the crash scene.
