Former Mules Football All-American Delanie Walker punched his ticket to the Super Bowl when his team, the San Francisco 49ers, beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday afternoon.

Walker becomes the second Mule to earn a trip to the Super Bowl, joining Jeff Wright, who started in four Super Bowls with the Buffalo Bills. In the championship game victory over Atlanta, Walker had one catch for 20 yards. On the season he has 22 catches for 364 yards and three touchdowns.

Walker is in his seventh season in the National Football League after being drafted by San Francisco in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He was a two-time All-MIAA selection at wide receiver for the Mules in 2004 and 2005. He earned honorable mention All-America honors in 2004. For his NFL career, he has 124 receptions for 1,485 yards and eight touchdowns.
