Sedalia Police arrested four people on September 8 who are accused of trying to steal over $6,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl's. 

According to a police report, Kohl's management contacted police and said four suspects in the store were selecting a large amount of clothing and concealing items in suit cases.

Officers responded to the call and the suspects exited the store a short time later. Police say two men ran from the store with merchandise in suit cases and a duffel bag. Police pulled up to a vehicle as it was attempting to leave. The men dropped the bag and were told by police to get on the ground. One of them began running east into a wooded area.

Police say over $6,000 worth of merchandise was recovered, and the four suspects - 27-year-old Nyisha M. Robinson, 40-year-old Jaron E. Pearson, 17-year-old Tyresha M. Martin and 34-year-old Fernando L. Howard, all of Kansas City, Kansas - were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
