A one-vehicle crash in Benton County injured four people on Thursday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2008 Ford driven by 18-year-old Dakota N. Sawyer of Sunrise Beach was traveling on US 65 Highway at 9:15 p.m. when it traveled off the road near Prairie Flowers School Road, crossed the median, struck two road signs, crossed the northbound lanes and came to rest in a field.

Sawyer suffered serious injuries and was transported by Air EMS to University Hospital. Sawyer was not wearing a safety device.

His three passengers suffered minor injuries and were transported by EMS to BRHC. All three were wearing a safety device, the report said.

They include: Macayla L. Asmus, 17, and Mandy M. Leonard, 18, both of Camdenton, and Paige C. Howard, 18, of Montreal.

The Ford was totaled.
