Frank Henry Taylor, Jr., 84, of Sedalia, passed away, Sunday, August 19, 2012.  He was born on December 27, 1927, in Fort Scott, KS, a son of Frank Henry and Francis (Comstock) Taylor, Sr.

On December 6, 1947 in Fort Scott, KS he was united in marriage to Wilma Marie Koch, who survives of the home.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a special interest in Model A & T gas engines. Frank served his country honorably during Vietnam and WWII in the US Navy. He was a member of Granite Lodge 272 and York Rite both of Sedalia; Scottish Rite of Fort Scott, KS; American Legion and a former member of Mirza Shrine of Pittsburgh, KS.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Beverly Joe Degani and her husband Galen of Center, CO, John William Taylor of Oakley, CA; Linda Marie Dennison and her husband Gerald of Hutchinson, KS; one sister, Carol Wilson and her husband Kenneth of Manzanola, CO; three brothers, Don Taylor and his wife Kathyrn of Scott City, KS, Dale Taylor and his wife Jeanette of Garden City, KS, Darrel Taylor and his wife Mildred of Garden City, KS; seven grandchildren, Rex, Eric, Ryan, Mellissa, Kelly, Sean and Matt; seven great grandchildren and twenty-two step grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma McWilson and a granddaughter, Cindy Cress.

Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, August 24, 2012, at Ft. Scott National Cemetery Chapel.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. Masonic service will be held at 6:30 pm.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s in care of the funeral chapel.
