Freddie Eugene Epperson, 82, of Sedalia, died Sunday evening, December 20, 2015 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.

He was born January 21, 1933, in Marshall, Missouri son of Ralph Charles Epperson, Sr. and Sara Frances Compton. On January 23, 1955, in North Kansas City, Missouri he married Mary Evans who survives of the home. Mr. Epperson retired from the United States Navy in 1971 then worked for the Kitchens of Sara Lee for 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and taking care of his family.

Survivors include his wife Mary Epperson, of the home; a son, Dennis Epperson and wife Debby of Parachute, Colorado; five daughters, Barbara Martinez and husband Louis, Clear Lake, Iowa; Janet Jones and husband Jerry, Sedalia, Missouri; Beverly Hosting and husband Lyle, Ft. Atkinson, Iowa; Sandra Epperson, Kansas City, Missouri; Kimberly Vasquez, Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Joyce Ann Summers and husband John, Smithville, Missouri; 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ralph Charles Epperson, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery.

he family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Ewing Schutte Semler Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside.
