Drug Bust on Friday ends in arrest for a 35-year-old Sedalia woman

According to a press release from the Drug Enforcement Unit and the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Sedalia Police Department, along with Patrol Officers executed a drug related search warrant at 1107 South Massachusetts. Entry was forced to the residence through the front door. Once inside the officers detained the sole occupant without incident.

The press release states a detailed search of the residence revealed a measurable amount of marijuana, an assortment of schedule 4 prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging supplies and materials, and $500 in cash suspected to be from drug sales. The press release also states evidence was gathered that indicated marijuana was being sold and distributed by the one adult occupant resident. Additional investigation revealed the suspect possessed, used, and distributed drugs in the presence of her child.

Arrested at the scene was 35-year-old Crystal R. Collins of Sedalia. At the time of the press release she was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending charges of:

Possession of controlled substance ( Synthetic Narcotics)
Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Unlawful transaction with a child
Child Endangerment 2nd degree

Formal charges were filed by the Pettis County Prosecutor, and the suspect received a $100,000 bond.
