Geneven R. "Jan" Hartshorn, 92, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on May 11, 1923 in Strawn, KS, the daughter of John Raul and Anna Belle (Landers) Akers.

In 1940 in Burlington, KS, she was united in marriage to Donald S. Paxson, who preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Lawrence "Pap" Feltner, and Hiram Hartshorn both of whom also preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Judy R. Bishop of Grain Valley, MO, Peggy D. Moriarty (Ralph) of Sedalia, and Terry VanDyne (John) of Sedalia; eight grandchildren, Robin, Carrie, Joseph, Kent, Desiree, Justin, Vivia, and Tara; and sixteen great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Akers, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be her great grandsons Jacob Moriarty, Zane Moriarty, Zach Hipsher, Ben Hipsher, Lincoln Hipsher and Gabe Hipsher.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Celebration Church Care Ministry in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
