Glenn Herman Schroder, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville.

He was born February 7, 1926, in Otterville, son of Louis Albert and Ola Frances Steele Schroder. On January 31, 1947, in Sedalia, he married Margaret K. Bolten, who preceded him in death on December 10, 1997.

Mr. Schroder retired from Adco, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to auctions. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Schroder, of Jefferson City, and Dorothy Schroder, of Sedalia; a son, Dale Schroder (Shirley), of Harrisonville; two grandchildren, Nick Schroder, and Scott Schroder (Jessica); and two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Emma.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Schroder; and an infant sister, Alta Frances Schroder.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Sacred Gardens, with Jeff Page, Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
