Gloria Lea Owens, 84

Gloria Lea Owens, 84, of Sedalia, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born October 23, 1929 in Ethel, MO, a daughter of the late George C. and Thelma E. Tuttle Fox. On May 29, 1948 in Grand Pass, MO, she married the love of her life Robert L. “Bob” Owens, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1985.

Mrs. Owens was a 1948 graduate of Marceline High School. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church. She was a homemaker. She was a crafter, beautiful seamstress, and enjoyed life.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen “Pete” Sublett, of Sedalia; and three grandchildren, Chris, Michael and Pat. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Tuttle.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
