Great Missouri Garage Sale Benefits the Children’s Therapy Center [INTERVIEW]
Every year, there's a huge shopping event on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. It's one of the biggest garage sales out there, and it's all for a great cause: The Children's Therapy Center.
The Great Mo. Garage Sale is scheduled to begin setting up on Monday, Sept.16. Volunteers are needed throughout the week (9 a.m.- 4 p.m.) to set up the event. If you are interested in volunteering, that'll be great, and you get to shop early!
The Great Mo. Garage Sale is scheduled for September 20- 21 in the Lowell Mohler on the Missouri State Fair Grounds (Gate 6). Opening night will be held Friday, Sept. 20 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. A $5 admission fee allows you to shop early. The sale opens to the general public (free admission) on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 a.m.
Thousands of items have been collected over the past two years. New and like-new items will be featured, everything from Easter to Christmas decorations, exercise equipment, office supplies, used clothing, household items and much more.
I got to speak with Susan Mergen, one of the main organizers of the event, and got some more details.
All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Therapy Center. For more information contact Susan Mergen at 826-4400 x368.
