Hundreds of kids, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and pets showed up a Liberty Park in Sedalia on Saturday for the annual "Kids Fishing For a Cure" event.

Kids of all ages were asked to come out and enjoy a few hours of free fishing, archery and the great outdoors. Fishing poles were provided for those kids that didn't have their own by the Missouri Department of Conservation, who also stocked the lake for the event. Professionals representing Eagle Claw, Rusty Toad Archery, and more were on hand, as was "Huntin' Harry" from the KXKX and BOB-FM Outdoor Show. A lunch was provided for donations to the Relay For Life team as well.

Despite the wind, the sunshine and warmer temperatures made for a perfect day for the event, and it was great to see so many kids enjoying the great outdoors with their families.
