In today's world, it is nearly impossible to stay away from the internet.  Almost every job requires you to use the internet is some way, but most of use the internet for social media. The worst part of social media is going out and not remembering that picture that you took the night before. If you do remember it, you are hoping it stays off of social media. The new buzzword for this is "digital hangover."

A digital hangover is feelings of shame and regret caused by social network photos and other online evidence of one’s embarrassing behavior, often involving drinking. Research shows that about 16% of us have asked ‘friends’ to take down offensive material for fear family or our employer might see it.

I have heard of people actually needing breaks from social media or just completely staying off of it. Research has actually shown that some people get depressed when using social media, because friends may not "like" a post, or look at friends photos and get jealous of their life.

Have you ever had a digital hangover? Tell us about it. The poll is anonymous, so you don't have to worry about anyone finding out.
