Heber Hunt Elementary School’s PTA is offering a Trivia Night fundraiser Feb. 21 at the school, 600 S. Warren. The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. They work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to accomplish their goals. They are dedicated to promoting children’s health, well-being, and educational success through strong parent, family, and community involvement. They invite the stranger and welcome the newcomer. They value and seek input from as wide a spectrum of viewpoints and experiences as possible.

That's what the local Parents As Teachers are trying to do here, and they could always use your input and help. I got to talk with Megan Simon, Heber Hunt PTA President, about the PTA and their upcoming fundraiser.

So make sure to stop by and join in the PTA Trivia Night. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the trivia competition beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person or $160 per team. Admission price includes chili, a hot dog and a drink; water and ice will be provided and outside food will be welcome. There will be a silent auction and sales of school spirit items.  For more information or to register, send email to HeberHuntPTA@yahoo.com.

Trivially yours,
Behka
