Helen Baker, 91, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born April 21, 1924, daughter of Orla and Dorothy Romjue. On April 8, 1947, in Moberly, she married Jack Baker, who died December 16, 1981.

She graduated from high school at Clifton Hill, MO. In Moberly she worked in the office of the Midway Department Store and later for Southwestern Bell. After moving to Madison, MO, she worked six years at the post office. She belonged to First Christian Church in Sedalia, and Order of the Eastern Star in Paris, MO. Helen and her husband Jack started the family business, Baker Agri Sales, Inc. in Sedalia in 1964.

Surviving are a daughter, Jacquelyn K. Baker, of Sedalia; a son, Dan A. Baker (Cindy Templeton), of Sedalia; her sister-in-law, Ruth Romjue, of Moberly; and nieces and nephews: Steve Romjue, Sherry Stewart, Teri McCollum and Ray Appleman.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Romjue; and a sister, Mildred Appleman.
Private services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to Children's Therapy Center, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
