Helen Ilene McClelland, 91, of Kansas City, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Liberty Hospital.

She was born February 28, 1924, in Ellandale, MN, daughter of Joseph and Irma Leona Vanslyke Walker. She was married to Carroll Brauer. In 1964, she married Stanley Holt, who preceded her in death in 1977. On May 14, 1985, she married Walter McClelland, who preceded her in death on August 30, 1999.

Mrs. McClelland worked at Sedalia Middle School as a cook. She had also worked for Mallory Bakery. She was a member of Parkview Christian Church when she lived in Sedalia, and joined King of Kings Lutheran Church while living in Kansas City. She had also been a member of the Eastern Star and Order of Beauceant. She enjoyed playing canasta, cards, reading, cooking and gardening.

Surviving are a daughter, Tammie Popp, and husband, Michael, of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Angie (Brauer) Arndt, John Robert Brauer, Brian Popp and Scott Popp; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Brauer, of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, William and Robert Brauer.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Frank Greene officiating.
Casket bearers will be Michael Popp, Brian Popp, Scott Popp, John Brauer and Tim Wheeler.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
