Kids, I'm the person who does a lot of the updates for our events and such on the website. So I try to keep things pretty current around here.  I'll tell you one thing, though: while I do add all the charitable and fundraising events people organize around here,  I am a sucker for a Blood Drive.  I'll always make sure people know all about those.

I first donated blood quite a few years ago.  It was at a local church.  I think actually doing it was something that really opened my eyes to how helpful it is.  Your blood donation can save up to three lives because they'll often take the blood and divide it into three aspects: the platelets, the plasma, and the actual blood cells.  All it takes is about an hour of your time.  Just think of all the accident reports Jack and Doug read on the air every day.  You could help save a life of a neighbor, a co-worker or even your own family by doing this small thing.

So please attend the Bothwell Regional Health Center's Community Blood Center Drive from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 22 at the Bothwell Education Center, corner of 14th Street and Ingram in Sedalia.  The CBC will supply what you donate to BRHC, so it'll go to local people right here in Sedalia.   Donors can book their appointment at savealifenow.org or by contacting Michelle Burgin at 660-827-9550 or at mburgin@brhc.org.

Donatingly yours,

Behka
