We need your help. See this empty tote sitting in our lobby? That was dropped off as part of a food drive that we're participating in to benefit CASA (Citizens Against Spouse Abuse). We want to get this thing overflowing with non-perishable food items!

A total of 13,712 meals were provided to CASA clients in 2016. "We served, in the last year, 143 women and 134 children," said Kearstyn Cochran, children's program manager and food manager for CASA.

CASA receives food from The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri, Open Door in Sedalia, and donations from the community. In addition to non-perishable food items, there is also a need for hygiene products such as diapers, deodorants, shampoo and toilet paper. The Academy of Salon Professionals in Sedalia is another drop-off point for this food drive.

CASA provides shelter for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. They can be reached by phone at 660-827-5559.
