Henry F. (Dusty) Rhoads age 84, formerly of Smithton passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home in Sedalia. He was born in Pettis County son of Oscar and Anna Mittenburg Rhoads.

On December 27, 1951 in Sedalia he married Patricia Anne Triggs-Spaits and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2013.

Dusty served in the Air force retiring with twenty-one years of service. He then worked for Alcan Cable Company retiring as a die maker. Dusty also raised cattle. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed cycling, running, genealogy, stained glass, wood working, coin collecting and reading about history. He was very devoted to his family.
He is survived by one daughter; Debbi Wiskur, and her husband Robert E. of Smithton, one son; David Rhoads of Kansas City, MO, five brothers; Robert Rhoads of Sedalia, Donald Rhoads of state of California, William Rhoads and Roy Rhoads both of Sedalia, Thomas Rhoads of state of Indiana, three sisters; Elizabeth Patterson of Sedalia, Sue Hoffman of state of Indiana, Mary Ann Henderson of state of Pennsylvania, two grandchildren; Robert Neil Wiskur and his wife Dawnette, Trisha D. Voellinger and her husband Tony, four great grandchildren; Addison E. Wiskur, Lillian O. Wiskur, Erin N. Voellinger, Ashlea T. Voellinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother; Kenneth Rhoads, one great granddaughter; Brionna Clark, one dtr-in-law; Cynthia Rhoads. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev Wayne Colflesh officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shenandoah Rhoads, Joe Rhoads Aryon Rhoads, Kenny Rhoads, Paul Rhoads, Luke Milka. Friends may call after 1:00 P.M. Thursday.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Thursday September 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in Smithton. There will be full military rites at graveside by V.F.W Post 2591.
