Bothwell Regional Health Center has announced that the High Hopes Cancer Support Group will be reintroduced, and will meet at The Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center on April 19.

“We are pleased to offer this support group again to the residents of our community affected by cancer,” said Oncology Services Director Jason Sharp in a news release. “We saw the need for patients to have an atmosphere that provides for open dialogue on topics such as understanding medications and the physical and emotional changes that are part of living with cancer.”

The High Hopes Cancer Support group is designed to help patients and their caregivers cope with cancer and live more effectively. The group will meet at 4:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the Susan O’Brien Fischer Cancer Center on the ground floor of the Canon Center for Cancer & Cardiovascular Care.

Nancey Dove will be speaking during the April 19 meeting. Additional topics for upcoming meetings include: May 17: Survivor’s Day, June 21: Meet our New Nurse Practitioner, July 19: Dr. Triplett Presentation & Discussion, August 16: Physical Therapy & Safe Exercises, September 20: American Cancer Society Services, October 18: 3D Mammography & Cancer Screenings, November 15: Massage Therapy, and
