Holden Woman Injured In One-vehicle Crash After Falling Asleep
A Holden woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred in Johnson County around 8:30 Saturday morning, April 15.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, driven by Whitney D. Palmer, 27, Holden, was southbound at 858 NW Missouri Route ZZ at 8:33 a.m., when the driver fell asleep, and the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert, became airborne and struck the ground, coming to rest in a private driveway.
Palmer was transported to Lee's Summit Medical Center where she was treated for moderate injuries. She was wearing a safety device, according to the report.
The Cobalt was totaled and towed from the scene. Troopers were assisted by Johnson County deputies at the scene.
