Okay, I admit it, I can be a little judgmental sometime, and even a curmudgeon, but I can not believe my latest rant will not find a kindred spirit out there.

As I do quite often, I drove through the drive-thru at the bank today because it is faster than going into the bank to just cash a check. Sometimes I find myself behind someone who is conducting all of their business banking through that little window, while I and all the other people in the drive through wanting to merely cash a check wait, and wait, and wait.

I believe this is not the use that little window is meant for. I also believe people who do this are the same type of people who park at the door at Walmart or other stores, while the rest of us park in the parking lot. They are probably also double parkers, line jumpers, and people who feel waiting is for others, not for them. They are people who will make us wait at the checkout of a market while they chat on a cell phone.

The bottom line, I guess, is that if you have a lot of business to do, don’t tie up a drive-up window for 20 minutes. Go inside! It's cool in the summer, warm in the winter and the people inside will smile at you as you come up to the counter, which is more than we who are behind you in the drive-thru will do.

Is it just me, or does this bother you too?
