Unless you've been out of service or hiding under a rock for the last 14 years, you probably purchased some type of dairy product, i.e., milk, yogurt, sour cream, or other milk product. The good news...you could be the recipient of some cash in the near future!

Residents in Missouri along with 14 other states (including the District of Columbia) will be awarded over $52 million as part of a recent class action lawsuit associated with the National Milk Producers Federation. You may be eligible for a cash payout of up to $70!

In a recent article, USA Today reported there were a number of states that may have slaughtered cows in order to keep the milk production at lower numbers and subsequently, pushed up the price of milk and dairy products.

14 states were named in the article. The states are: Arizona, California, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, plus the District of Columbia.
