Iola Marie Scott, 89, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Fair View Nursing Home.

She was born August 25, 1926, in Carroll County, MO, daughter of Jerry and Ida Mae Chapman Fuller. On April 6, 1946, she was married to Douglas Scott, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1998.

Iola worked for many years at Town and Country Shoes, where she made and modeled shoes. She enjoyed senior dances, collecting and dressing dolls, Yorkies and flowers. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Sam Scott, of Sedalia; two grandsons, Cameron Scott (Carla), of Sedalia, and Joe Scott (Stephanie), of La Monte; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Herberger, of Carrollton.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Edwin Gordon Scott; daughter-in-law, Sue Ellen Scott; and six sisters.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 31, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
