J.M. Cramer, Jr. age 91 of Sedalia passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. He was born on September 9, 1922 in Sedalia son of Jonathan M. and Mamie Griffith Cramer.

On October 23, 1942 in Sedalia he married Frieda M. Swope and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2010. He graduated from Hughesville High School. He went in the Army and was in five campaigns during WW ll in the South Pacific. He worked at Whiteman Air Force Base in Civil Service as a bookkeeper. He later became a Piano Tuner.

He was also a Pastor and taught at a Bible College in Mountain Grove, MO. Music was a big part of his life, where he played the guitar, mandolin and many string instruments. Surviving are two daughters; Joy Sparks (Jim) of Sedalia, Rebecca Kleinman (Maurice) of Hampton, Virginia, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Dale Cramer and Truman Cramer, one sister; Freeda Swope.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Saturday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Pastor David Beck officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until service time on Saturday.

Friends may sign the guest book from 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Thursday, Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Sparks, Alex Sparks and Kevin Sparks. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery northeast of Sedalia.

There will be Full Military Rites at graveside by V.F.W. Post 2591 of Sedalia. The family suggest memorials to the Grace and Glory Chapel Church. You may leave condolences on line at ewingschuttesemlerfh,com
