Jack L. Osborn, 75, of Sedalia, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born in Cameron, Missouri on April 26, 1937, the son of Earl and Doris (Rainey) Osborn. Jack and Sherri Harrison were united in marriage on August 22, 1978. Sherri survives of the home.   Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958. He served 3 years, some of which was in Germany during the Berlin Wall beginning, before his Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received a Certificate of Achievement and attended the Army's NCO Academy.   Jack worked in the banking industry for over 31 years. The last 23 were with Third National Bank, where he most enjoyed his position and the customers he served. Jack loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as time allowed. Jack was actively involved throughout the Sedalia and Pettis County community. He was on the boards of the Pettis County Selective Service Board, the Sedalia/Pettis County Development Corp. and Pettis County Crime Stoppers. He was also a member of Sedalia Rotary Club, Sedalia Lodge #236 A.F and A.M., Sedalia Shrine Club, Smith Cotton High School PTA, Sedalia Council of the Arts, Sacred Heart School Foundation, Sedalia Rod and Gun Club, Elk's Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Sedalia Country Club.   In addition to his wife, Sherri, Jack is survived by his son, Christopher K. Schott; 3 grandchildren, Julianna Bougeret, Amelia Schott and Anthony Schott; his mother-in-law, Virginia Harrison; his sister-in-law, Nancy Tempel; his brother-in-law, Terry Harrison; his niece, Anne Tempel; his nephew, Eric Tempel and his cousin, Cheryl Colt.   Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Sean Jared Lee Osborn and his father-in-law, Jim L. Harrison.   Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Jim Betzen, C.PP.S officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Banaka, Glen Glidewell, Bill Shumake, Terry Harrison, Eric Tempel and Jim Fletcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Hiner, Marvin Wright, Dan Colt, Jim Conley, Sonny Broyles, Brian Broyles, Harold Burt, Jim Gregory, Dale Wasson, Joe Bode, Terry Arnold and John Bus. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.   There will be no visitation.   In lieu of flowers, Jack's family suggests memorial contributions to the Sedalia Animal Shelter or the Shriner's Children's Hospital in care of Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
