James Lynn Lutjen, 35, of Sedalia passed away, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Warren County due to a semi-truck accident.  He was born on September 21, 1978 in Kansas City, KS a son of Lynn M. and Joyce A. (Stephens) Lutjen, who survive of Sedalia.

On June 20, 2011in Warsaw, MO, he was united in marriage to Maria Kowalski, who survives of the home.

He enjoyed fishing, especially going out on the boat with his dad.  James loved mechanic work on classic cars and trucks. He liked going for truck rides with his dad and spending time with his family.

Besides his parents and his wife, he is survived by three children, Jamie Lutjen of Clinton, Jack Lutjen of Clinton and Isabelle Mae Lutjen of Sedalia; one sister, Jeanne Lutjen of Sedalia; two step children, D.J. Lutjen of Sedalia and Terra Margita of Harrisonville; paternal grandmother, Luella Cooper of Kansas City, KS; maternal grandmother, Charleen Stephens of Diamond, MO.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfathers, Raymond Cooper and Amos Lutjen and paternal grandmother, Paula Lutjen; maternal grandfather, Robert Stephens.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Johnnie Medlock officiating.

Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am, prior to service.

Honorary bearers will be Rick Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Jerry Stephens, Dustin Morey, Brent Wing and Jaron Wing.
