Janet Stanley Long, 89

Janet Stanley Long died in her sleep on January 14th, 2014 at the age of 89.

Janet was the daughter of Walter Pitkin Stanley and Genevieve Stanley Trader and stepdaughter of George H. Trader, all of Sedalia, MO. and had an older sister, Genevieve O’Maley of Alameda, CA., all deceased.

She attended Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia and graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. A very loving mother, she is survived by her sons, Frank III, George (Lexie), Christopher (Linette), Anthony and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill or The Brain Injury Association of America. Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 19 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO at 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.
