Janice L. Shaw age 71 of Sedalia passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at her home.

She was born on August 25, 1942 in Sedalia daughter of Gordon and Ruby Miller Harbit. She attended Smith Cotton High School. Janice was co-owner and operator of the Hughesville Locker. She was a member of the Hughesville Baptist Church and most recently affliated with the Mt. Herman Baptist Church.

She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter; Melanie Davis (Terry) of Sedalia, two sons; Bill Wheeler (Norma) of Sedalia, Travis Wheeler (Angela) of Kansas City, Missouri, six grandchildren; Beth Wheeler, Billy Wheeler, Trevor Davis, Shelbi Davis, Ruby Wheeler, Cole Wheeler, one niece; Pam Hunter of Hughesville, special friend Dee Hughes of Sedalia, one great niece; Brittani Geml and several cousins.

She was preceded by her parents and one brother and sister-in-law Donald Harbit and his wife Clara. Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Internment will be at Highland Sacred Gardens.

Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
