Jean Gordon, 84

Jean Gordon, 84, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Cole Camp, Missouri. She was born on October 14, 1929 in Lancaster County, Nebraska a daughter of Glenn O. Peterson and Lela Rundle, who preceded her in death.

On February 3, 1952 in Rokeby, Nebraska, she was united in marriage to James Spencer Gordon who preceded her in death in September of 1997.

Jean enjoyed playing cards, dominos, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Sedalia Welcome Club.

She is survived by two children, Gina (Dennis) Hagedorn of Sedalia and Jay (Rosemary) Gordon of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Jenna and Jared Hagedorn, and Lindsay and Hannah Gordon.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Dan Page officiating. There will be a prayer service conducted at 7:30 p.m.

The family will have a time of gathering from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jefferson City, Missouri.
