Jerry Lee Watson, 72, of La Monte, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

He was born August 10, 1941, in Sedalia, son of Oscar Hall "Bus" and Maxine Roberta Cavalier Watson. On October 2, 2001, in Harrison, AR, he married Karolyn Jo Clark, who survives of the home.

Jerry retired from Pittsburgh Corning after 32 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1494. He enjoyed playing on the computer, fishing, hunting and dancing. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Jerry "Jay" Watson, Jr., of New Richmond, Wisconsin; four step-children, Michael Anderson, of Liberty, Patrick Anderson, of Denver, CO, Sonya Mendez, of Warrensburg, and Angela Armstrong, of Knob Noster; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Stockstill, of Baldwin City, KS, and Carol "Sue" Martin, of Sedalia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Glen Stockstill and Fred Martin.
A visitation and viewing will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
