Johnny E. Templemire Jr., 62, of Sedalia passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. He was born on May 28, 1953 in Sedalia, MO the son of John E. Templemire Sr. and Shirley Rose Marquess, who preceded him in death.

In September 1994 he became committed to Theresa Powell, who survives of the home.

Johnny found his career calling and passion to work on small engines just a few years ago. His mentor, Mr. Gerber, of Gerber's Small Engine mentored him and helped him drive his passion for this activity. Just 3 years ago John was proud to venture out on his own repairing small engines, Johnny's Small Engine repair. In addition to that his passion was music and being a Disc Jockey as many knew him as the Traveling Disc Jockey, John T. He looked forward every year to DJing at the All American Beer Garden at the Missouri State Fair, which he did for a multitude of years until up to several years ago. He also loved doing private events and traveled multi-states DJing. Music was in his soul and he reached out and communicated through music. Johnny also loved to go to Vegas for the Bike Fest. He not only liked the slots but he loved seeing the custom bikes and the babes. He liked to garden but had been too busy to do much the last few years. He put up unique articles next to the Katy Trails for the patrons to enjoy. He loved Christmas and giving to others and doing for those in need, mostly small children. He had a indescribable big and good heart for life and people.

Survivors include: A daughter, Angela (Sarah) Templemire of Hazelwood MO; a sister, Peggy (Rufus) Gautier of Sedalia; a sister, Debbie (Mike) Clark of Warsaw; a brother, Roger Templemire of Sedalia; a sister, Kathy Templemire of Sedalia; two granddaughters, Kailee and Kelciana; numerous loving nieces and nephews; several caring great nieces and nephews; and an extended family including Jennifer (Justin), Eric, and Kaelyn Ray of Green Ridge and Austin Story of Sedalia.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Earl Templemire, Sr. and his mother, Shirley Rose (Marquess) Templemire.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 14, at Broadway Presbyterian Church, 209 West Broadway, Sedalia MO. Friends and Family are welcome to begin arriving at 10 am with services commencing at 11 am. Kris Schondelmeyer (newphew) will be officiating the service.

Burial will be at New Lebanon Cemetery, Hwy A, New Lebanon Missouri, at a later date.

Memorial contributions to help the family with final costs may be made at the church during the Memorial Services or to Rea Funeral Chapel or to the American Cancer Society - Central MO or American Heart Association of Missouri.
