A 35-year-old Knob Noster man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Highway D at US 50 Sunday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 5:20 when a 2001 Ford Escape, driven by Nicholas Henson of Knob Noster, was stopped at an intersection attempting to enter US 50, when a 1993 Ford Ranger attempted to turn onto Highway D. The Ford Ranger began sliding and struck the Escape, which traveled off the road.

The driver of the Ford Ranger fled the scene and was not identified in the highway patrol's crash report.

Henson was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
