On Tuesday afternoon (Oct 2), a Johnson County Deputy observed a maroon colored Dodge Caravan travelling east in the 1900 block of NW 50 Highway. The Deputy reportedly noticed the Caravan matched the description of the vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident on Sept. 18 on Highway 50, where the vehicle struck a pedestrian who sustained life threatening injuries. The Deputy initiated an investigative stop and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to speak with the individual. Investigation continues. No other details were available in the report.


Early Tuesday morning (Oct 2), Johnson County Narcotics Detectives arrested 43-year old Amanda Lyman in the 200 block of SE 101 Rd., rural Warrensburg, on a no bond felony warrant through Probation and Parole -Jefferson City.


On Tuesday afternoon, Johnson County authorities arrested 32-year old Kara Packham, in the 300 block of NW 50 Hwy, rural Warrensburg, on a felony FTA Johnson County warrant for stealing and fraudulent use of a credit/debit card device, with a $1,000.00 bond.
