Juanita M. Strunk, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014, at her home.

She was born November 6, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Ezra and Maude Perry.

On July 21, 1951, in Indianapolis, she married William H. Strunk. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Robert Strunk; grandson, Lonnie Jo Strunk, all of Sedalia; and two brothers, Robert Perry and Bud Perry, of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Strunk worked at Fair View Nursing Home for 15 years as a CNA. She is a member of Sandpoint Christian Church in Idaho. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 642 in Sedalia. She enjoyed ceramic mold making, puzzling, Scrabble, and most of all, traveling, where she has seen 48 of the 50 states.

Surviving are eight children: William M. Strunk, John Strunk, Judy Bennett, Debbie Strunk, Barbara Bartholomew, Rhonda Mittenburg, and Dan Strunk, all of Sedalia, and Connie Bain, of Lansing, Michigan; two brothers, Don Perry, of Chula Vista, California, and Edwin Roger Perry, of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Strunk enjoyed her 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, at Heckart Funeral Home.
