June Hurd Smith, 93

June Hurd Smith, 93, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

June was born on June 1, 1919, the daughter of Richard and Anna Good Hurd. On October 25, 1941, in Princeton, MO, she married Charles Dan Smith who survives.

June devoted her life to being a wife and mother, and working alongside her husband on the family farm. June was a Baptist and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons, Daniel (Patty) Smith, of Sedalia, and David (Lynn) Smith, of Houstonia; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.

June was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dana Smith Buso; two great-grandsons; and one brother.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
