Sheriff's reports for June 27

On June 24, Pettis County deputies responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Department on a juvenile who was shot in the hand. Investigation revealed the incident took place at Green's Crossing on Carpenter Road in Smithton. Witnesses stated the owner of the gun was a heavy-set white male with a beard driving a flatbed truck, which was either a gray or black Dodge diesel or a Chevy Silverado.

Deputies are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Pettis County Sheriff's Department or call 827-TIPS (8477).

The juvenile was transported to the University of Missouri Hospital.

On June 26, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a theft report on a cell phone in the 2800 block of S. Ingram.

On June 25, deputies took a report of a minor assault that occurred in the 24000 block of Highway 765.

On June 24, deputies took a report from Khristy L. Clark of Smithton in reference to assault that occurred by someone she knows.

On June 24, deputies arrested James William Hamilton of Sedalia in the area of Broadway and Warren on an outstanding Pettis County warrant. Bond was set at $2,000 cash only.

On June 24, Shawn Bedell of La Monte reported the theft of a firearm.
