S.T.I.N.G Unit Serves a Warrant at Buckner Court

According to a press release KSIS received this (Tuesday) morning at 12:20 Monday afternoon Patrol Officers and Detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Sedalia Police Department responded to 415 Buckner Court to serve a drug related search warrant. The press release states at the time of entry into the residence contact was made with a male and a female subject who were taken into custody without incident.  The press release also states two children under the age of 4 were located in the residence.

The K9 Unit responded to the scene, and performed a sniff of the residence. The K9 reportedly alerted to the odor of illegal drugs in numerous locations within the apartment. A detailed search revealed methamphetamine, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia items. The press release states additional evidence located during the investigation revealed the female suspect was distributing methamphetamine from the apartment. Police arrested both the male and the female suspects and transported them to the Pettis County Jail where they were placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
